We found this black-and-orange lichen in the old Abercorris slate quarry and the Llwybr Clywedog Torrent Walk.

For our new project The Possibility of Forests, we explored cloud forests in the Philippines and Celtic rainforests in Wales/UK. Sensing a potent energetic connection between these ancient rainforests, we conceptualilzed ways to connect these rare, mossy, climate-sensitive biomes through creative technologies and public art.

We eased into The Possibility of Forests by starting our journey in Arroceros Forest Park in Manila and exploring Mount Makiling in southern Luzon. Not long after, we plunged into multi-day hikes, wild camping and a foot patrol with indigenous forest guards on the Mount Apo Range and Panigan-Tamugan Watershed of the Obu Manuvu ancestral domain in Davao.

A couple of months later, we drove through the awe-inspiring landscape of Eryri Snowdonia National Park in mid- and northwest Wales to visit remnant rainforests in UNESCO Dyfi Biosphere Reserve and Meirionnydd Oakwoods Special Areas of Conservation.

We've gathered first-hand observations, creative insights and visual and sonic textures from these forests. Now we come full circle to present Field notes from a mossy forest to audiences in Escolta/Manila, not far from where we began in Arroceros Forest Park.

We've used AR and 360 for the web to bring mossy forests to audiences in interesting ways. Choose from 3 paths: 98B Exhibition Trail, 360 Forest Trail and DIY Exploration Trail.
